Tight on time

Welcome back to my blog, it’s been a little while! I have been gone over Thanksgiving break to see my uncle and cousins. I enjoyed the quality time i spent with them while in Tampa. It was quite a drive so I was asleep pretty much the whole time on the way there and back. I made an exciting visit to my brothers apartment in college at USF. My mom let me have sleepover with him for the first time there since all of his roommates were out of town. Anyways, what i’m trying to say is that I was unable to film this whole week. while I was on break, not only was I gone, but the rest of my group had other plans as well. Everyone was out of town or busy with family which is why I didn’t get the chance to meet up with them. I have been planning with Sabrina, Lola, and Michaela to get together with them very soon to begin our filming journey ASAP. it is very important for us to get this out of the way as midterms season is coming in hot for us. This part of the project is extremely crucial, cons

First scene- During this scene we will be filming a establishing shot  of the car. The location for this scene will be in front of one of the group members homes that is decorated and festive. We wanted to included  a Christmas tree on top of the car to show it is Christmas time. We also wanted to include this scene to show where the first few scenes will be taking place.  Second Scene- For this scene we will be using a wide shot of the car showing the 4 girls are now in it. We will still be in front of the house but we are getting ready to drive away. We wanted to include this scene to show all the girls in the car from an outside perspective before we showed in the car.  Third Scene- In the third scene we will use a jump cut to now show the inside of the car with the girls. This quickly transitions into a medium close-up of the girl holding her heart and lip syncing to the music playing in the car. We wanted to show the girls emotions before she gives away her heart.  Fourth scene- I

Our Master Plan

Song Title:  The song we are using for this music video is “Last Christmas” by Wham! We wanted to do this song because it is one of the biggest classics of the holiday season. It is a staple for Christmas time. Our group each has a connection to this song since we all love this song. Props:  For this music video we need some props. Some of these props may include skates, a winter coat, a Santa costume, Christmas makeup and other festive accessories we may find as we go. Costumes:  In this music video, the costume will consist of winter clothes to match the vibe of the song. Possibly a Santa costume. The song takes place clearly during the winter season, meaning it would be cold. So, even though we’re in Florida, we will adjust to create the story of the song for our video. Film Schedule: On 11/7/22: Our group researched details about the song we wanted to make a music video on in order to create our own. On 11/11/22: Our group made some final decisions for roles, props, filming locatio

My group is using the song “Last Christmas” by Wham! for this project. This song is under the holiday genre, specially Christmas songs. According to my research, using our song,  "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey and "Baby It's Cold Outside” by John Legend, sung by Idina Menze the music video may include:  -Snow -Bright Lighting or Christmas colored lights  -Festive Christmas like Santa hats, rain deer antlers, etc.  Camera Angles and Movements:  • Zoom (To emphasis a person place or thing) -Pan (To show the festive scenery) Camera shots like:  -Wide shot (to show environment) -Long shot (to show the characters dancing or running around) -Close-ups (to show facial expressions, festive makeup or reactions) -Tracking shot (to emphasis what a person may be doing)  -Many two-shots and three-shots  -Fade out shots (to make clean/ pretty transitions to the next shot) Since I am filming a Christmas music video the Christmas song will be playing over the enti

Get to know us!

Let's get back into my blog and get more in depth about my group. I am working with a different group of people than I usually would, but I think it'll be good for me. We can all incorporate each of our own strengths to make this music video the best one yet! We are a group of four and this includes me, Sabrina, Lola, and Michaela. To get into more detail, I've known the first member of our group, Sabrina since the 7th grade. We have gotten really close ever since then and have always stayed in contact. Her personality is great and she is a person you can enjoy working with to make the project fun. Sabrina works very diligently with schoolwork and anything she puts her mind to. She is very determined with everything she does and puts in extra efforts for great outcomes on her assignments. I have always seen how well she works, and have admired her for that. The next member in our group is Lola, who I have also known since the 7th grade. However I was never super close with

Allow Me To Introduce Myself

Hi, my name is Sarah Kraja and I'm ecstatic to soon begin this music video. I have some experience with technology since I am always using it, and I used to edit a lot of videos for fun when I was younger. I feel like that will be very helpful for me in this class because there is a lot of recording involved throughout the rest of the year. I always liked editing and filming videos when I was with friends so I have some of the basics down already. I am already in the process of brainstorming ideas for our groups music video because of how thrilling it seems. Now I'll get into some particulars about what I generally do throughout most days in and out of school. When I'm outside of school, I go straight home either on my bus, or my parents pick me up. When I get home, I tidy up some of the main areas around my house or room and then just relax for awhile. I used to fill my days with school volleyball everyday after school, however the season is over for this year. However, I
