The Real Investigation!

My group is using the song “Last Christmas” by Wham! for this project. This song is under the holiday genre, specially Christmas songs. According to my research, using our song,  "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey and "Baby It's Cold Outside” by John Legend, sung by Idina Menze the music video may include: 

-Snow

-Bright Lighting or Christmas colored lights 

-Festive Christmas like Santa hats, rain deer antlers, etc. 


Camera Angles and Movements: 

• Zoom (To emphasis a person place or

thing)

-Pan (To show the festive scenery)


Camera shots like: 

-Wide shot (to show environment)

-Long shot (to show the characters

dancing or running around)

-Close-ups (to show facial expressions, festive makeup or reactions)

-Tracking shot (to emphasis what a person may be doing) 

-Many two-shots and three-shots 

-Fade out shots (to make clean/ pretty transitions to the next shot)


Since I am filming a Christmas music video the Christmas song will be playing over the entire video. As I live in Florida which is a tropical area we will need to get creative with our props and sets. We will include many props such as fake snow, Christmas trees, Christmas lights etc. We will also find a setting to film at that is already festive and decorative like the beach, Christmas on Las Olas and ice skating rink, or even Simone Christmas decorated house.

Officially done…With filming

  I'm happy to inform that my group and I have finally finished filming our final video project, and the results are nothing short of stunning after weeks of hard work and commitment. This trip, while had its share of difficulties and learning curves, ended with a victory that well above our expectations.This time around, unlike the first time we filmed, everything appeared to go together perfectly. Equipped with a well-defined vision and an astute sense of direction, we skillfully and confidently maneuvered through the filming process. Simplifying our method of filming was one of the biggest changes we made. We had a well thought-out plan in place, so we knew exactly what kind of material and photos we would need to make our story come to life. With so much less time spent filming because to this newfound clarity, we were able to concentrate on capturing true and emotionally charged moments.
