Officially completed our final task: Time to reflect


Hello again and for the last time! I am super thrilled to make the announcement that the final task is officially completed. The website, postcard, and short film are all finished and look fantastic. I could not have been any happier with how things turned out. I think it’s crazy to look back at the fact that this journey started all the way back in AS media. Working with my group has been a blast and now it’s almost over. It all was amazing with filming and being able to goof around with my group during work sessions and meetups. It will definitely be one of the main things I’ll miss. Each member in our group had their own separate task. This made it easy for all of us to equally stay on top of the project in our own different ways. Overall, it made the work go very smoothly and I’m satisfied with my groups hard work and dedication. I had lots of fun in this class from the moment I joined. I would 100% recommend to someone whether they’re already in AS media or if they are not in media at all. Time flew past my eyes and I didn’t even realize. But I did enjoy every second of it. with testing season approaching it seems like it is finally time for a farewell from this project. It is foreseen to be very stressful induce I have six AICE classes this year which in other words means 12 tests! That’s not going to be easy. However, i am fully determined to do my best and prep as much as I possibly can. Thank you for following along on this journey. Final Name Change

Hello, blog. I indicated in my most recent blog that I was completing the editing for our movie. I wanted our produced and directed title slides to appear in the movie, so I embedded them. I began by writing the directed by title on the exterior of my building in the first frame. The difficult thing was not learning how to embed text. Finding frames where to insert the text and have it appear to be a part of the video without the camera moving and the text moving with it was difficult. It was the only factor that determined where I placed the credits. The movie also has sound, which I added. You might remember that in a previous blog I asked Universal Music for permission to use the song "Love Fools"; following their initial email, UMC never responded. That was certainly unfortunate. Tweaks and Changes

There are a lot of things that still need to be fixed with the clips. As a group we officially started editing and we are using iMovie. The film was taken on my phone since we agreed I had the most storage and was able to have all of that on my phone. We put the clips all together on iMovie and it came out to be 2 minutes and 41 seconds. There are still some parts we must cut out or shorten that should not be there, but I'm glad we got the time right. A big part also needed to be done are the titles. We will work together to make them look as neat and flowy as possible in the film. Hopefully it turns out as amazing as I think it will. I think the hardest part for my group was getting everyone together, but I'm glad we managed to do it. Without all the proper editing, I believe the film looks great! To be honest, maybe we could have had better lines, but fairly they were cliff hanger lines which are just what we needed. It worked perfectly for the concept of the final task proje

Filming officially complete!

On Sunday evening, we all got together and finally put our commercial together. Michaela came to help with the filming while Sabrina, Lola, and I were the ones being recorded. I ended up bringing a couple chairs and a white table cloth to set up the scenery. Lola had other necessary props such as the table, and she went to the store to buy the actual Twizzlers as well. Sabrina also brought a hot glue gun for the use of gluing Twizzlers together to make it one long one for the last scene. Unfortunately, we ended up having to use our backup plan, but it still worked in our favor. Lola's sister and her friend were unable to show up for the filming process. They had practice for their sport and couldn't make it to be a part of the commercial. In this case, we had Lola and one of our friends, Nate, do the last scene from the inspiration of Lady and the Tramp.
