Special secret ideas...shhhhhh!

Filming was quite the tough task, and our little ideas we came up with all took some thought and extra effort to put in. First off, we needed to take time and head to Michael's to grab the props we needed. One idea was with the heart we used in the video, we had to creatively find a way to make it. I thought of using Styrofoam, Sabrina thought of using glitter construction paper, and Lola helped with taping and cutting the foam up. I first helped Lola trace the heart onto the Styrofoam and then her and I began to cut through the traced lines so we could get the shape of the heart. This wasn't very hard and it overall turned out super cute making our whole group happy with the result. Then, while in Michael's we thought it would be a good idea to buy some glitter as well to spark up one of the scenes we filmed. The closing scene we had Sabrina pouring glitter over the camera, as if it was raining glitter, all while I held my phone to record and was walking backwards at the same time. As I walked, backwards, Lola and Nate were walking forwards toward me. Another idea we had was to use the car to film part of our video as a carpool looking moment. This was Lola's idea and we did this to add a different ring to the story we were telling. We presented ourselves in the car after the flashback was shown of Lola giving his heart to Jackson, and he just easily gave it away to someone else (Sabrina). All of these little, incorporated ideas really truly helped our video have some flavor and for it to not be completely plain. I will admit, it wasn't the easiest thing coming up with ideas so in this case we also came up with a lot in an improvising sort of way. However, this doesn't mean that the video didn't turn out as I expected. As a matter of fact, I truly didn't believe it would come out good enough at all and I assumed it would be extremely sloppy. I was surprised when it came out as well as it did, because the hardest task was getting everyone together to be able to film each scene. As cooperative as we all were with each other, at the same time it was just as difficult. The result of our video was something I was very proud of and I can say the same for the rest of my group as well. A lot of editing still needs to be done though, because several little improvements can be made to help enhance the way our video turns out.
