Filming officially complete!
On Sunday evening, we all got together and finally put our commercial together. Michaela came to help with the filming while Sabrina, Lola, and I were the ones being recorded. I ended up bringing a couple chairs and
a white table cloth to set up the scenery. Lola had other necessary props such as the table, and she went to the store to buy the actual Twizzlers as well. Sabrina also brought a hot glue gun for the use of gluing Twizzlers together to make it one long one for the last scene. Unfortunately, we ended up having to use our backup plan, but it still worked in our favor. Lola's sister and her friend were unable to show up for the filming process. They had practice for their sport and couldn't make it to be a part of the commercial. In this case, we had Lola and one of our friends, Nate, do the last scene from the inspiration of Lady and the Tramp. We also were unable to film at the beach as we planned, because it was a rainy day and the weather conditions did not allow us to do what we wanted from the start. I came a little bit earlier and started helping Lola with most of the set-up so that it was ready as our other group mates were on the way. I was trying to make the Twizzlers look like spaghetti on the plate we had and then brought it outside to have ready with the rest of our props. Sabrina and Michaela came so we then began to film the first scenes at around 6:30 pm. The problem was we kept re-filming scenes and the light of the day of the sky wasn't really matching up with some of the clips as we did them at different times. This caused us to go back and re-film a few times to make sure everything looked just right. Sabrina and I were waiters in the commercial and we had Lola and Nate in the position where the dogs were in the movie, while Michaela recorded everything on my phone. We have barely begun the editing process which we will be getting to soon. I made some cuts to all the clips and made sure everything also came out to 30 seconds. As a group, we planned out how we wanted to incorporate the Twizzlers logo and slogan into the video. I plan on working on more editing with my group in the next class period so we can all put our brilliant ideas together!
